Registering for a place

To register your child for a place at The Mount Pre-School please return the Registration and Sessions form (available from the Admissions Team) along with a £50 registration fee. On the form, you will be able to indicate the sessions you would like for your child, we will try our best to accommodate these; however, they are all subject to availability.   

Once the form and registration fee have been received, a member of our admissions team will get in touch to discuss your child’s needs and to arrange a taster session for them in the Pre-School. 

Settling In Session 

We will invite your child to attend a settling-in session, where an informal assessment will take place. This enables children to familiarise themselves with the Pre-School Room, teachers and other children. If the child is transferring from another Early Years setting, a report will be required in addition to the taster session. At the end of the taster session, the Pre-School Room Leader will give a verbal assessment and, on this basis, an ‘Offer of Place’ will be made, provided there are spaces available.

Acceptance of Place 

To finalise the application and formally accept the ‘Offer of Place, you will be asked to sign and return the Acceptance Form along with the corresponding Acceptance Fee (see Fees).  From this point, your son or daughter will have a guaranteed place at The Mount School York.
