School Life
While The Mount’s strong traditions and timeless values have underpinned our success since the eighteenth century, flexibility has allowed us to adapt successfully to the needs of modern education and 21st-century family life.
Day girls are welcome to join the boarders for breakfast from 7.30 am. Lunch and afternoon tea are available for everyone and all girls are welcome to stay for supper. Girls and parents find that this helps the whole family manage their individual work and leisure commitments.
We also offer flexibility in boarding arrangements. Girls can board full-time, through the week or just on certain days, depending on their needs and yours. These needs may evolve as your daughter develops through her school career, and boarding arrangements can be tailored to fit your daughter’s changing requirements.
Naturally, the pastoral care we offer at The Mount is of the highest standard. Our staff are ideally suited by training, temperament and experience to meet the many different needs of girls as they grow through the most important time of their lives.
"Everybody can achieve success if they believe in their own potential and if they are encouraged to strive for it. Being at The Mount means having an education where potential is recognised and you are encouraged to excel”
Felicity Knowles, Pupil
