York

The Mount School is situated in the beautiful and historic city of York, only ten minutes from the railway station and city centre.

York offers all the amenities of a cosmopolitan city, with plenty of activities, shopping, culture and an extensive history to be explored.

Approximately 2 hours from London by train and within commuting distance of Leeds Bradford, Newcastle and Manchester International Airports, York is a very accessible and innovative city.

The Mount School is adjacent to the main route into York from the M1, A1, Leeds and West Yorkshire. Situated just 1.6km inside the southern edge of the York ring Road, it is also easily accessible from the North.

Directions:

From the A1M, Take the A64 for York and then the A1036 exit (signed York City Centre, Race Course and National Railway Museum). Keep left and follow signs for city centre. Take the 2nd exit at the Tesco roundabout and after 1km you will pass the Knavesmire (York Race Course) on your right. 250m further on you will see the Elmbank Hotel on your left, take the left turn at the hotel and the school car park is up the hill, directly in front of you.
