Quaker Principles
The Mount’s school motto, Fidelis in Parvo, means “faith in small things”; faith not just in spiritual terms but in the sense of a confident belief in the potential that lies within each and every one of our girls.
Our aim, rooted in our Quaker values, is to imbue Mount girls with the confidence necessary to approach modern life. This means setting personal goals, planning, meeting and overcoming challenges and continuously developing as an independent, responsible individual. The wide range of individual and team sports on offer allows each girl to participate at her own level, to excel and also to develop self-confidence and a sense of responsibility for her physical well-being. The superb facilities at the Mount cater for the diverse needs of all our girls.
At the Mount, we believe our role is to empower girls not only academically but in every aspects of their lives. Each member of the school community knows that she is valued; the school is reverberates with lively discussion and exchanges of views. It is no surprise that emotional intelligence is highly prized in our community. Many former students, Dame Elaine Kellett-Bowman, former MP and MEP, to name but one have left their own indelible marks on our changing world.
"Remember your responsibilities as a citizen for the conduct of local, national and international affairs."
