To kick start an exciting week ahead, Year 7 set the bar high as they embarked on a two-night residential to Carlton Lodge Activity Centre.
Departing over lunchtime, the girls excitedly collected their packed lunches and headed for the coach, eager for the exciting activities to come.
Once they had arrived, not a minute was wasted as the girls were launched into their first activity of the afternoon on the high ropes. Working on a series of mini challenges, both in groups and individually a great deal of encouragement and support was shown immediately. The pupils cheered each other on and ensured everyone completed the task with a smile on their face. Adrenaline junkies and those with a more nervous disposition worked together tremendously and showed just how committed and brave each of our girls really are.
A high level of skill and technique was on display across the two days as they took part in a range of exciting activities, even finding the time to celebrate Halloween on Monday evening. The girls wore Halloween costumes and played a game of ‘dangling doughnuts’ – an imaginative alternative to apple bobbing!
