Coming Soon Celebrating Shakespeare

In the last week of the Summer term pupils in the Senior School will be taking part in the biennial Creative Arts Festival. This year’s festival will celebrate 400 years since Shakespeare’s first folio.

Girls will take part in a carousel of activities including dance, drama, science, music, classics and art, all themed around celebrating the famous Bard. The first day will end with a traditional British afternoon tea on the lawns, before selecting a workshop to join the next day. The festival will culminate in an outdoor performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream performed by The Duke’s Theatre Company.

Previous Creative Arts Festivals have celebrated 100 Years of Agatha Christie and Deeds Not Words, a Suffragette movement.

The Duke’s Theatre Company will be returning to The Mount on Wednesday 2nd August to stage Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. Tickets are now on sale. Watch a trailer here.
