Pupils in years 6 and 7 demonstrated their excellent communication skills and imagination this week as they collaborated on creating their own language.
The girls considered the etymology of the language, thinking about where it would originate from, which countries would it be native to and the people that would speak it. They thought about the vowels, consonants and syllables of specific words and what other languages they may share similarities with or be completely unique.
As well as the spoken language, consideration was given to the writing system of this newly developed language, thinking about the use of capital letters and a name for it.
All the pupils displayed excellent teamwork and creativity as they worked in House teams to generate ideas and share their creations amongst the whole group.
