Girls from Year 3 up to Year 10 performed a brilliant Dance Showcase last night with a variety of numbers set to the music of different upbeat genres.
The immense talent and spirit of fun was obvious to see for an appreciative audience in a packed house.
“It was really fun and I loved performing the dances. It was good to be up on stage with the Junior School too,” said Harriet (Year 7) who has been with The Mount since Pre-School.
“I really enjoyed it as I haven’t done a dance showcase here before,” said Charla (Year 8). This was the first Dance Showcase for The Mount in over a decade. The brainchild of Mrs Howells, Head of PE and Sports, the performance was the culmination of rehearsals throughout the Junior and Senior school.
“It was nice to interact with the Junior School girls,” said Charla, who joined The Mount in Year 7.
There were group pieces with entire year groups performing, smaller groups plus elegant solo numbers. In the finale, the dancers took up the entire stage and spilled out to the floor in front of the stage.
