Lilia Performs in West End Does: Hollywood

Year 10 pupil and Performing Arts Scholar of The Mount, Lilia took to the stage as she dazzled in two performances of ‘West End Does: Hollywood’ at Cadogan Hall, home to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra last month.
Forming part of the youth choir, Lilia accompanied a star-studded cast as they celebrated the best music from the classics over the years, including songs from family favourite animations, musical movies, and many more iconic moments in music.
The concerts were originally due to be hosted by TV and Hollywood personality, Matt Lucas however, a last-minute scheduling conflict saw proceedings overseen by TV host, impressionist and comedian, Luke Kempner, who’s experience in front of a live audience deemed him the perfect candidate.
Enhancing the already electric spectacle, the audience were treated to guest appearances by Alice Fearn (Come From Away, Wicked) during the matinee and Carrie Hope Fletcher (Cinderella, Les Misérables) in the evening performance. West end leading lady, Carrie heaped praise on Lilia’s Stagebox team, saying they were “an amazing group of extremely talented humans who I can’t wait to share the stage with again one day”
Other notable appearances from TV personalities and stars of the stage, included Ore Oduba (Strictly Come Dancing, Rocky Horror Picture Show) and Amber Davies (Bring It On and former Love Island contestant). They joined the likes of West End icons, and seasoned performers, Oliver Tompsett (& Juliet), Sophie Evans (Wicked), Rob Houchen (South Pacific, Les Mis), Leanne Robinson (Book of Mormon) and Shan Ako (Les Misérables) who continued to wow the 950 seater venue.
Lilia’s proud mother watched on from the audience, commenting, “It was a quite incredible concert! To see so many leading stars on one stage with the orchestra, the sound was just phenomenal. Lilia had a fantastic time, and it was a real privilege to be invited.”
