Old Scholar, Caroline and her two children, Miranda and Arthur, visited the school this week during a visit to the city from their home in Winchester.
Caroline joined The Mount aged 13 and remained here until the end of College II, where she embarked on a successful publishing career in London. Upon relocating from the capital, Caroline is now lecturing at the University of Stirling on their Publishing Masters programmes.
During the tour, Caroline spoke of fond memories in English lessons, watching ‘Top of the Pops’ in the College common room and listening to the radio over breakfast in the Dining Hall. Visiting the gym sparked flashbacks of trampolining club, whilst the pupils entrance corridor had her reminiscing over the long queues for the one phone for her weekly call back home.
If like Caroline, you are a former student of The Mount, register for MOSA– our Old Scholars Association where we aim to facilitate contact between past students and staff.
