We were delighted to welcome Dame Judi Dench, beloved former pupil, to The Mount today. She told us she couldn’t resist visiting her boarding school, while she was in town. 

The Mount girls’ football teams across Senior School now have their own branded football strip thanks to a generous donation of twenty-two kits from local shop owner, James Humphrey (from Lehi James).

The Mount is delighted to host our second-ever three-day Piano School Friday 1 – Sunday 3 November.

Following a full and rigorous recruitment process, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Anna Wilby as the new Head of The Mount School York, from January 2025.

Years 8 and 11 both won their tournaments and Years 9 and 10 both came admirable thirds.

Our Mount boarding community enjoyed a wonderful ‘glow in the dark’ evening of bonding and fitness whilst raising money for an important local cancer charity, St Leonard’s Hospice.
