Following the government’s announcement on 4 January that schoolchildren in England will not return to classrooms until early February, The Mount has reverted to its highly successful programme of online learning.
During the 2020 schools’ lockdown, onsite learning was available for boarders and children of key workers while all other Mount girls tuned into a full timetable of lessons online.
Adrienne Richmond, Principal, told parents of current pupils, “Senior school students were already set up to start remote learning. I have asked Junior School parents to give staff time to upload work for remote learning for all children from Early Years upwards.
“Our remote learning provision across the Summer term of 2020 for both Senior School and Junior School pupils was given high praise by pupils and parents, and there is no doubt in my mind that staff will work just as hard again to give our pupils the very best remote learning experience that they can over the next half-term. Our aim is to continue to support not only our pupils but all of our families in the best way possible,” said the Principal.
