Parents and Guardians were invited to enjoy lunch with the children and meet with representatives from our award-winning caterers, Wilson Vale.
The girls enjoyed spending time with their loved ones and their friends together as they tucked into an array of vibrant and colourful dishes, made from fresh, seasonal produce that had been lovingly prepared in-house by skilled Wilson Vale chefs.
On the menu for Thursday was Indian cuisine, with Chinese chicken curry and sweet chilli tofu accompanied by rice and a selection of seasonal greens. For dessert, guests were treated to exquisite mini cheesecake pots, in an assortment of flavours to choose from… or to try one of each.
As the pupils headed out onto the playing field to spend the remainder of their lunch break in the afternoon sunshine, parents were welcomed by representatives of Wilson Vale who introduced them to sample further treats and canapés. They were informed about the popular taste buddies scheme delivered in the Junior School whereby pupils try foods from different countries around the world and collect stamps for their passports.
Alongside refreshments of tea and coffee, the parents were invited to end the lunch with samples highlighting the various ways in which apples can be used to produce different dishes. As a savoury nibble, blue cheese scones with spiced apple chutney, and for sweet, a delicate vanilla panna cotta topped with Bramley apple jelly were offered.
