Girls from Year 9 and College I attended the annual Technology Tournament on Tuesday 19th Feb run by York Rotary and held at PortaKabin in York.
The challenge for pupils this year was to build a flashing beacon with had specific features. The teams had to create a structure that also involved connecting a light whilst incorporating a device to turn the light on and off. We were the only girl’s school in attendance and competed against many local schools.
I am proud to say Year 9 achieved the Best Portfolio and were awarded medals by the Lord Major and the College I girls achieved Bronze medals for third place.
