On Friday, staff and pupils were treated to a taste sensation as they dined on a feast of mouth-watering roti rolls and health bowls for lunch.
Served by our award-winning caterer, Wilson Vale, the popular Indian cuisine was a favourite amongst pupils and staff alike, with many requests made for the dishes to become a permanent fixture on the menu… with some even favouring it over the traditional Friday favourite of a fish supper!
The girls were offered a selection of meats or vegetables to accompany their roti and the option to add as many or as few sides as desired. The more daring amongst the group were able to tantalise their tastebuds with spicy mango ketchup, whilst those in favour of a more subtle palette were catered for, with a large selection of salads including red cabbage and mint street slaw, kale and onion bhajis, tamarind sweet potato and roast chickpea salad and brown rice with mixed grains.
It was truly a treat for all the senses as the delectable smells of home-cooked, fresh food filled the Dining Hall, and the variety of colours amongst the foods made it even more appealing. Also on display were various recipe cards which would allow for the meals to be replicated at home.
