The Mount School York celebrates A-Level and University success in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and Arts related subjects.
- 71% of girls applying to University have secured places in STEM related courses including one pupil, who will be taking up her unconditional offer from Birmingham University to study Mechanical Engineering.
- Additional STEM course places accepted by Mount girls include, Dentistry, Medicine, Biomedical Science, Accounting & Finance, Product Design Engineering and Psychology.
- 58% of grades in STEM related subjects were A*-B.
- 54% of Maths and Further Maths grades at A-A*.
- 100% of Art and Design pupils achieved A-A* grades.

University Destinations
Students from The Mount Sixth Form regularly accept offers from their first-choice universities. Each year, our girls proceed to a broad range of university destinations, with most leavers accepting offers from Oxbridge, Russell Group and international universities.
In 2018, 71% of girls applying to University secured places in STEM related courses including Dentistry, Medicine, Biomedical Science, Accounting & Finance, Product Design Engineering and Psychology.

Further places were secured across a breadth of Russell Group Universities, including the London School of Economics, Newcastle, Sheffield and Manchester. Girls are reading a range of modern and traditional subjects, which include Law, Geography, Business Studies, Primary Education and Economics.
Girls in The Mount Sixth Form are offered extensive UCAS support when considering their future choices and making their University applications. The freedom of an all-girls environment means there are no stereotypes to future destinations or careers. Career aspirations are not limited and girls are encouraged to believe in themselves. If girls want to study Engineering, Medicine, Fashion, Art, take a gap year or enter the world of work we help them achieve this.
