Summer Celebration Concert


 

The Senior School’s annual Summer Celebration Concert at the beginning of May was an evening of stunning performances by the School’s groups and ensembles.

Programme

With the theme of music of films and television, the audience listened to flawless performances by the Orchestra (Pirates of the Caribbean, Titanic, The Lord of the Dance), Senior Choir (When You Believe, You Can’t Stop the Beat), Baroque Ensemble (Badinerie from Bach’s Orchestral Suite No 2), Flute Group (Cheeky Cha-Cha, Tuesday Bluesday), Swing Band (Don’t Stop Believing, Green Onions, Happy), String Ensemble (Vivace from Bach’s Violin Concerto in D Minor), Clarinet Group (Five Squared), Folk Group (Traditional Folk Tunes Medley) and finished with the Choir and audience singing together ABBA’s hit Thank You For The Music.

There will be more Senior School music performances on Family Day, the Proms concert An Enchanted Evening, and Foundation Meeting.

The Mount’s next major musical extravaganza, It’s Time, will be performed by the Junior School on Friday 18 May.
