Mount’s Cutting-Edge DT Suite Makes a Great First Impression

The Mount has invested in brand-new state-of-the-art Design Technology facilities over the Summer break, reinforcing the subject’s position as a standout strength of our curriculum.

Our fully transformed DT suite features a bright modern aesthetic with energy-efficient LED lighting, vinyl flooring and ICT stations. It also includes industry-standard equipment, including laser and vinyl cutters, a band saw and pillar drill.

This investment follows outstanding results in both GCSE and A Level for our DT department, with a 100% A*- A grades in 3D Design A Level.

In transforming our facilities, we aim to give pupils the ultimate toolkits to design & create, making their ideas come to life. The Mount is the future of Women making their mark in STEM. Watch this space…
