As Mr Griffiths comes to the end of his first two terms at The Mount we reach the end of the academic year, we take the time too ‘reflect’ on all that has happened in the second half of the school year.
In the edition of Reflections: our intrepid College explorers return from Iceland and tell us all about the ‘life-changing’ trip; the whole school community comes together to celebrate the first Eco Festival; Junior School put on a spectacular production of ‘Treachery at Traitor Quay’; and we welcome back Old Scholar Harriet.
In the last six months, big changes have occurred at The Mount. We wished a fond farewell to Ms Richmond in December and welcomed Mr Griffiths, the 20th Principal of The Mount School in January. In the latest edition of Reflections Milly (Year 8) interviews Mr Griffiths and he tells us how he plans to put the ‘Super in Curricular’.
School life has been very busy as always. Junior School pupils have been enjoying the Creative Curriculum and Senior girls staged a fantastic production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. With the lifting of social distance and restrictions we have also seen many activities resume, sporting fixtures return and residential trips.
After Results Day marked the end of the academic year, we took the time to ‘reflect’ on all that happened since Easter. As we fully returned to School life lots was happening in and out of the classroom.
This edition of Reflections includes details on our amazing exam results, Leavers’ Supper, Junior School’s Mission to Mars and how female role models play an important part in School life.
Once again as we mark the half way point of the academic year, we take the time to ‘reflect’ on all that has happened since September 2022. It certainly has been a year like no other! Whatever unexpected challenges we have met, School life has continued whether it be in the classroom or online.
The latest edition of Reflections includes details on socially distanced sports, Junior School’s Creative Curriculum, how boarders at The Mount are making the most of the grounds and examples pf pupils’ creative writing. We hope you enjoy the latest edition of the School magazine.
