By Rail – York is a major rail centre; London to York is one of Britain’s fastest rail routes at just 1 hour 46 minutes. Edinburgh, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham are similarly linked with high-speed routes. If you are travelling to York by train, The Mount is approximately 10 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by taxi from York Station.
By Air – We can be reached from several International Airports: Leeds/Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and London airports. The onward journey to The Mount is under 2 hours from Leeds/Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle. Accessing The Mount from London Heathrow is only a 3 hour journey.
By Car – From the A1M, take the A64 for York and then the A1036 exit (signed York City Centre, Race Course and National Railway Museum). Keep left and follow the signs for City Centre. Take the second exit at the Tesco roundabout and after 1km you will pass the Knavesmire (York Race Course) on your right. 250m further on you will see the Elmbank Hotel on your left, take the left turn at the hotel and the School car park is at the top of the short hill.
Disabled Access – Disabled access to the School is via the rear entry. You will need to enter the School through the carpark which is accessed via Driffield Terrace.
Visitors – For Security and Health and Safety reasons all visitors must report to the main School Reception. Here you will be issued with a Visitors Pass.
