Our Chef Manager from Wilson Vale, was named the Best Independent School Caterer of the Year 2014 in the annual national EDUcatering Awards in a glittering ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington
Our professional caterers, Wilson Vale, create a weekly menu of fresh, varied and delicious meals. Healthy eating is actively encouraged and the caterers can accommodate vegetarians, allergies, dietary requirements and all reported food intolerances among our student and staff body. All meals are freshly cooked on the premises by our team of experienced chefs.
Many students – boarders and day alike – say they look forward to meal times. A comprehensive choice is available at breakfast, lunch and supper. The Menus change weekly so pupils’ diets are varied and have the opportunities to try new food.
Our catering team enjoy preparing interesting and varied meals which fit in with national and school events. Recently pupils have enjoyed Chinese cuisine at Chinese New Year, ghostly meringues at Halloween, American cuisine on the 4th July and Teddy Bear cupcakes at the annual Pre-School Teddy Bears picnic.
Pupils are encouraged to contribute to the menus via the School Food Council. Here pupils have the opportunity to provide feedback to the catering team on what they like, what they would like to see more of and suggest new ideas.
Many girls, on graduating from The Mount, leave saying how they will miss the food!
