At The Mount, we believe physical fitness is the key to a healthy mind as well as a healthy body.

Sport at The Mount is about interest, enjoyment and fun, as well as competition and team play.

Sport is taught in all parts of the school, from age 2-18, through the PE curriculum and additional activities. Sport at The Mount School teaches teamwork, communication, resilience, loyalty.

Most importantly we want every one of our girls to enjoy participating in sport whilst at school.

Our aim is that all girls will leave the School having had a positive and enjoyable experience of the sporting programme on offer and will embrace sport and physical activities for the rest of their lives.

The Mount’s sports facilities include tennis courts, netball courts, a large sports hall, indoor swimming pool, fitness suite and large playing fields.  Sports played include; netball, tennis, rounders, hockey, athletics, cricket and volleyball. Outside of the curriculum we offer a range of additional options that reflect girls’ interests including; dance, football, yoga and cross country.
