Choir Serenades Old Scholars

A selection of the Senior School Choir visited the William Wilberforce care home to perform Christmas carols for Old Scholars who are residents there. The girls performed in the ground-floor Bistro and the upstairs Dining Room on Tuesday. Aside from their prepared pieces, the girls were requested to sing Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. The residents enjoyed joining in, singing with cheerful gusto.

The Mount girls had the chance to meet Patricia Robson (nee Stickney, 1952) who was MOSA President from 2012 – 2015. During her presidency, she raised funds for the completion of the Junior School’s Library, Life Sciences Room and playground. The girls enjoyed meeting Patricia, eternally elegant, who sang along with the School Text and the hymn, God Be With You ‘Til We Meet Again.

The visit was an excellent pre-cursor for the Christmas Concert the following evening.

The William Wilberforce management was very impressed with the girls’ performance, composure and good spirits. They have invited the Choir back in the Spring for an Easter performance.
