Senior School girls have been running Cross Country this week, competing in their Year group bubbles. Congratulations to all girls for taking part, and to those who won and placed within their Year groups.
Mrs Howell, Head of PE in the Senior School, said, “All of the girls did really well running Cross Country. Despite having faced lockdown and tiered conditions in York, they have all kept up their physical conditioning. This term they’ve been able to do swimming and run Cross Country, play netball, badminton, football and also do yoga, dance exercise and just generally keep active.”
Research shows that there are multiple benefits for girls to regularly play organised sports during their school years, including residual benefits which can be life-long.
