Hardworking Mount Girls Celebrate Another Set of Impressive A Level Exam Results
We couldn’t be prouder of our A Level students today; their commitment to their studies over the last two years has reaped the rewards they so deserve with this strong set of results.
Hugs of celebration at The Mount today where nearly 40% of pupils achieved Grades A* – A, and 70% of pupils achieved Grades A* – B. Many girls outperformed their predicted grades after working so hard.
100% A*- B grades were achieved in nine subjects including languages, English, Geography and Art & Design.
As ever, our Art & Design department performed exceptionally well with 100% A*- A grades in 3D Design and Textiles, as did Chinese and German.

Faaiza was proud to achieve amazing straight As with her beautiful art and design work. Art teacher Miss Milton said: “Faaiza is a joy to work with and I have never seen such progress in a Year 12 student across the short two years of A Levels.” Faaiza was a House Captain and a positive force in boarding, attending many fun and educational trips.
Tazmin is a creative talent – and one to watch – shown by her astonishing AAB in Fine Art, Textiles and Photography.
Issy’s dream of studying architecture is within reach after she achieved a stunning A*BB and A at AS Level in 3D Design, Maths, Chemistry and French.
Emma who represents Team Great Britain in archery – and has early starts competing across the country most weekends – had to plan her weekly revision timetable carefully with her other intrepid commitments, which include cross-country skiing. Emma, who joined The Mount in Year 10, was delighted to achieve a fantastic ABB in Fine Art, Geography and Biology. Her archery-themed art coursework and exam pieces are innovative and beautiful.
Talented artist Florence – who joined The Mount in Year 7 – is described by many staff as “a lovely girl who supports her friends across school”. She also achieved an impressive set of results with a superb A*AB in Fine Art, Geography and English.
Zara, who joined The Mount Prep School will study Architecture and Landscape Design with her impressive A*BB in Fine Art Maths and Chemistry. A friendly student and brilliant role model, she is a natural leader as a Head Girl at The Mount.
There are far too many individual achievements to mention but all our College girls worked so hard again this year, should be very proud of themselves and enjoy celebrating.

What I admire most is how hard our pupils have worked and how they have reaped the rewards of higher grades than predicted, which is amazing in this competitive exam landscape.
As I have talked to the girls today, it has been wonderful to be reminded of the benefits of the holistic education of The Mount. Hearing stories of the varied, valuable ways the pupils have spent their summer, reinforces what well-rounded young women they are, ready to be successful in their next steps. I look forward to the girls coming back to say hello and to inspire the next generation of Mounties to similarly aspire and succeed in the future, following in their (hard-to-fill) footsteps. We are delighted that our pupils are progressing to their chosen universities, with the vast majority securing their first choice, after excellent applications and interviews where they talked about the breadth of their opportunities and achievements at The Mount. This demonstrates our commitment not only to academic excellence but also to providing a well-rounded education, allowing pupils to pursue their life goals.
