Last night saw a full house enjoying a tremendous standard of musical entertainment at The Mount School York’s Spring Concert.
The school hall audience was enchanted by instrumental & voice solos and ensemble pieces from music scholars and other pupils with delicious refreshments beforehand.
Featuring drums, cello, voice and whole orchestra amongst others, the evening was a treat for the ears. From Bach to Queen, there was something for everyone.
Designed to allow our talented pupils to get used to performing in front of a live audience, the results were both astonishing & moving.
Highlights included Holly’s superb rendition of ‘Don’t Rain on My Parade’ and Pachelbel’s ‘Canon in C’ given a whimsical twist by our Ukulele Ensemble! Maddi’s interpretation of Bach on violin and Emilia’s solo piece by Handel also gave us all goosebumps!
With music scholarships available for Years 7, 9 and Sixth Form entry, The musical Mount is one to watch…
Families will be sent details to view a password-protected video of the concert soon.
