The Mount Junior School pupils were supported by their family and friends as they participated in the annual Inter-house Swimming Gala this week.
The children in Early Years were also in attendance and excitedly cheered from the poolside hoping their team members would bring home the trophy. The annual event is always a highlight in the sporting calendar, with girls across all the year groups representing their House and showing up in support of others.
Hoping to retain their winning title from last year was Rowntree, who narrowly pipped the other Houses to the post in a very close battle. The girls swam a variety of races and disciplines, from breaststroke, to freestyle and backstroke before the event concluded with a set of tense and exciting relays.
Once all the races had finished the House Captains gathered on the poolside to hear the winners announced. Once again, Rowntree were crowned the champion team, this time by a single point!
Everyone that took part demonstrated fantastic skill and commendable sportsmanship as they supported one another regardless of their respective House, well done to all and congratulations Rowntree.
