St Paul’s CofE Primary School Has (Certainly) Got Talent! Their talent contest – as part of their 150 Years & Wishes celebration – was held in our theatre and we were so delighted to welcome them all.
The idea came from one talented St Paul’s pupil who, as part of the school’s 150-year celebrations made a wish ‘to dance on a real stage.’
Pupils in Reception to Year 6 raised the roof with songs, dance routines and raps written themselves!
Immaculate behaviour on a fun & supportive day – where every act was cheered and encouraged – we always look forward to a visit from our wonderful neighbours, St Paul’s, and we are incredibly pleased to share our facilities. They regularly use our swimming pool too.
Congratulations on a fantastic performance showcase where everyone took part, values we admire & emulate as a Quaker school.
St Paul’s’ Governor Alison Forster, who teaches piano and singing at The Mount, said:
“The Talent Show for St Paul’s’ 150-year celebrations was wonderful. The children did so well! Huge thanks to colleagues at The Mount for offering the theatre which meant one little girl’s wish to dance on a real stage was realised. She showed off her talents and was so delighted, gasping when she first saw the stage; her wish had come true!”
Headteacher of St Paul’s School, Mrs Christie Clarke, said:
“It was so lovely to have St Paul’s Has Got Talent at The Mount this year, showing off talent from our youngest children in Reception all the way up to our fantastic Year 6 pupils! A range of skills were on display on stage and we as always are immensely proud of our children! Thank you to The Mount for letting us use the theatre for the morning and to our Governor for arranging this special day for us!”
