The Mount School welcomed York Chinese School, East Asian Ensemble and the York Chinese Association last weekend for their exquisite Spring Festival Concert.
The concert was organised by the York Chinese Community in honour of the Chinese New Year and was held to celebrate the 15th day of the New Year and the Lantern Festival.
Young singers from the community and special guests, including the Lord Mayor, Cllr David Carr were joined onstage by two ceremonial dragons who only ramped up the festivities.
The audience, including some of our boarders and GCSE musicians, were treated to exceptional performances, not least by our very own College pupil Jasmine, who delighted us all once again with a beautifully impressive performance on her Chinese lute, the Pipa.
