Mount Girl Liv Wins Nine Medals at Competitive Swimming Event

Liv, Year 6, the reigning fastest swimmer in Yorkshire for her age group, took home five gold medals and four ‘speeding ticket’ medals at her most recent event.

It was a long day of races for Liv, who emerged as the ‘top girl’ in the fiercely competitive event, meaning she won the most points in her age group. Liv swam several races throughout the day, with her performances resulting in five gold medals and four ‘speeding ticket’ medals – meaning her time was too fast for the heat!

This outstanding achievement is just the latest of many for the amazing athlete, who one day hopes to represent Team GB in swimming. Liv is the current girls record holder in Yorkshire for 200m backstroke and freestyle among her age group.

Well done to Liv for this amazing accomplishment, we’re incredibly excited to see what the future holds for this rising swimming star.
