Congratulations to Mount U15 Netball Stars as they Reach York Schools League Final!
The Mount U15 netball team is working incredibly hard this season and has been rewarded already by making it to the final of York Schools Netball League, after an outstanding semi-final against Fulford.
An exciting, nail-biting match saw The Mount scoop victory with a final score of 19-8.
Isla Bergman’s accurate skills at Goal Shooter saw her awarded Player of the Match.
Mrs Newman, said, “This was a truly fantastic team effort from you all. Thank you. This is so well-deserved. I can’t wait to see what’s in store at the final.
The thing I admired most on the day was that one of players sadly took ill during the game and came off at half time. As a result, Mount pupils moved into positions they don’t usually play and got on with the job of doing their best, and ultimately winning. True resilience and teamwork at play. I was very proud of them all.”
