Hope to star in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Grand Opera House

At The Mount School York we are thrilled to hear that one of our Junior School pupils has been cast in a leading role in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Year 5 pupil, Hope is set to star as Jemima Potts across several dates at The Grand Opera House in York.

The family favourite production will be flying into theatres this Easter and will see young Jemima, played by Hope, attempt to evade and escape the evil Childcatcher along with her twin brother Jeremy, in this York Stage adaptation of one of the world’s most favoured musicals.

Hope is no stranger to being in front of an audience and recently performed in Nativity! The Musical over the festive period. She trains at Stagebox, a leading performing arts programme that aims to excel the careers of talented performers and offers them a platform to discover a wide and diverse range of opportunities in acting and musical theatre.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is guaranteed to leave audiences of all ages flying high with its wonderfully inventive mixture of madness, mayhem and magic. For a truly Scrumptious evening of entertainment and to see Hope in action, book your early bird tickets now from the Grand Opera House website, or visit the Box Office.
