We are delighted to have been shortlisted today for Independent School for Student Careers (Independent Schools of the Year Awards, 2025).

In celebration of 240 years of our beloved Mount School York, pupils, staff and our wider school community will be making music, non-stop, for 24 hours!

The Mount was pleased to welcome back young alumnae thriving in a wide range of exciting university and college courses, to impart some of their wisdom and experience to current pupils. 

For Sports Champions – a great charity where athletes visit schools to raise funds for future athlete training programmes and the schools themselves – we were lucky to be visited by breakdancer Mackenzie Clayton.

We are incredibly saddened to hear the news that Queen Margaret’s School has made the difficult decision to close this summer. Our hearts go out to all the pupils, families, staff and friends who are navigating this challenging time.

We are thrilled to welcome Ian Murphy back to The Mount for another week-long Art summer school from Monday 18 August – Friday 22 August 2025. With limited places, this always fills up fast.
