Senior Netball Teams Start 2023 in a Good Position

2023 has got off to an incredible start for our Senior School Netball Teams as they once again demonstrated their skill and sportsmanship in a range of fixtures this week.
Tuesday 24th Bootham School (A)
On Tuesday afternoon our under 14/15 teams (A and B) were hosted by Bootham School as they participated in two energetic matches. The results were in our favour as the visiting team, with the girls winning both of their games. Each side showed fantastic enthusiasm as they battled it out for the resulting win, with special mention to players of the match; Charlotte and Neve.
Back on home turf, fellow Senior netballers took part in training delivered by Leeds Rhinos Netball coaches. The girls’ hard work was evident, and their abilities to apply the skills learnt in training onto the court is undoubtedly paying off.
Wednesday 25th Scarborough College (H)
The following day it was the turn of our Senior and College players to host Scarborough College. Games were relocated to the indoor pitches due to the adverse weather, not that that had any negative effect on the state of play. The successful afternoon involved two well-contested netball matches, alluding in one victory, and one draw for our U19 teams.
Thursday 26th Archbishop Holgate School (A)
In an equally chilly afternoon, the U12 and U13 girls travelled to Archbishop Holgate on Thursday to compete. Players of the match, Margherita and Amelia led their respective teammates to secure one win and one defeat, with everyone putting in a great performance and playing their part in the game’s admirable result.
We look forward to seeing what amazing outcomes our teams will have when they take on their next opponents, The Read School over the weekend. Well done thus far girls!
