Swimming Sister Duo
Swimming sister duo, Jessica in Year 6 and Emma, Year 8 had a brilliant time at a recent swimming gala in Sheffield.
Still revelling in success from the Yorkshire Championships a few weeks prior, where Jess finished in the top 20 in all 4 strokes, she went on to achieve remarkable results once again. Jess swam personal best times in 6 events and won gold in her age group for 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke. She also secured Bronze in the 100m Freestyle.
In an equally impressive effort, elder sister Emma swam 6 personal bests in 7 events and won the gold medal for her age category in the 50m Breaststroke. Other highly commendable achievements include securing Silver in the 50m Freestyle and Bronze in the 50m Backstroke. Both Jess and Emma swim competitively for local club, York City Baths Club (YCBC) where they continue to hone their skills in a range of different disciplines.
