Three cheers for Lilia’s ‘Bring it On – The Musical’ debut

Here at The Mount we have our pom-poms at the ready to cheer on Lilia in Year 11 as she prepares to star in ‘Bring it On – The Musical’ next month. 

The popular Broadway musical is inspired by the classic noughties film of the same name, and tells the story of competitive cheerleaders, navigating their way through the trials and tribulations of high school competitive sports, and the surprising bonds that form from it.  

Lilia will play the part of Kylar, a ditzy – yet likeable competitive cheerleader and has been dedicating her evenings 3 times a week to perfecting the role. The musical has been produced by York Stage – a local theatre company with a reputation for creating high-quality theatre, starring the most talented performers from the York area.  

The show promises explosive choreography, with a cast of vibrant characters at the forefront and is accompanied by an electrifying contemporary soundtrack – guaranteed to have the audience cheering along from their seats.  

To see Lilia, and the rest of the cast spring into action, performances are held at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre and tickets can be purchased here.
