Superb Win for U18 Netball Team!
Congratulations to our U18 netballers, who aced their first match against Bootham School.
The Mount School York U18 netballers aced their first match of 2024, defeating Bootham School 28-6 in a dominant display at The Mount School sports hall on Wednesday 10 January.
Both teams showcased impressive teamwork and skill throughout the match, but it was The Mount’s team who ultimately proved too strong. Their relentless pressure and ball skills saw them build a commanding lead early on, and they never looked back.
The Mount’s players credit their success to the hard work they put in during their weekly training sessions with Leeds Rhinos Netball. The professional coaching and guidance has clearly paid off, with the girls displaying a polished and confident style of play.
A special shout-out goes to Lucky from College II, who was named player of the match for her outstanding performance and defending in her Goal Defence position.
This victory is a great way for The Mount School U18 netballers to kick off their 2024 season. They have set a high standard for themselves and will be looking to build on this success in the months to come.
