Our Chamber Choir and Senior Choir attended the Living North Christmas Fair yesterday, kickstarting us into the Christmas season.
They sang a mixture of carols including Ding Dong Merrily on High, Silent Night, I Saw Three Ships, What Child is this Gaudete (a 16th-century carol published in Piae Cantones), I wonder as I Wander (a beautiful solo performance from Katie in Year 9), and Ring Christmas Bells, made popular by the film Home Alone.
Some of the carols performed were a capella in harmony, and for others, the choristers were joined by members of our String Ensemble, who also performed a German Dance by Mozart, Pachelbel’s famous Canon, and Jingle Bell Rock.
We had a wonderful time, and can’t wait to return next year! Thank you for having us, Living North!
