As a Quaker School, The Mount prides itself on its supportive and compassionate community environment that creates a sense of family and belonging for all our students, both past and present.
Upon leaving education, Mount Old Scholars embark on a wide variety of journeys through life as they embark on their careers and go on to achieve great successes, including that of Old Scholar, Alice Boddy who has achieved a glittering career in dance.
Professional dancer Alice progressed through the School all the way through until College II where she went on to attend The Northern Ballet School in Manchester for the following three years. Continuing to dance alongside her education, Alice attended Patricia Veale School of Dance from the age of 11. Alice successfully put the incredible talents and skills she learnt to good use as she helped with the choreography of all Senior School productions while studying at The Mount School.
Alice’s successful career in Dance has seen her travel all around the world and onboard cruise ships as a production dancer and more recently, a production manager. She has danced in music videos for notable artists and performers such as George Ezra and occasionally still teaches Jazz, Modern & Contemporary Dance at Patricia Veale.
Patricia Veale School of Dance is a local dance school which paves the way for many gifted and talented dancers and is regularly attended by several of our current pupils who regularly showcase their creativity and abilities in dance. Most recently, our talented dancers took part in a workshop hosted by Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
