We are incredibly proud of Year 5 pupil, Hope who has been starring in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Grand Opera House, York over the Easter holidays.
Hope was successfully cast as leading role, Jemima Potts back in December and has been excitedly awaiting her debut ever since. Having broken all box office records in the West End, the family favourite production has been adapted by York Stage and recalls the tale of Jemima, brother Jeremy and their wacky inventor father as they try to outsmart the evil Child Catcher.
York Stage is a local theatre company, renowned for its production of high-quality musicals and plays across theatres and performance spaces around York. It has brought many hit shows to the city, including Elf and Shrek the Musical, with the reception to its latest offering proving their reputation for excellence is being upheld tremendously.
Hope, and the rest of the wonderfully creative cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang received exceptional praise in a recent Mumbler review. The kind words emphasise just how much time and effort Hope dedicates to performing:
Limited tickets to catch the final few dates of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang are available via the Box Office. With only a handful of shows left, book early to avoid disappointment.
Hope is no stranger to being in front of an audience and previously starred in Nativity! The Musical, also performed at Grand Opera House. She currently trains at Stagebox, a leading performing arts programme that aims to excel the careers of talented performers and offers them a platform to discover a wide and diverse range of opportunities in acting and musical theatre.
