This academic year The Mount Junior School celebrates its 30th birthday. Originally named Tregelles, the school opened its doors in November 1991, since then it has been committed to providing an environment which fosters self-belief, and independence. 

30 Fabulous Years

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary pupils at the Mount Junior School are taking part in a series of activities across the academic year, celebrating the last 30 years and looking ahead to 30 years in the future. Activities include: Quaker Foundations, Time capsules then and now, 30 Talented Inventions, 30 Mount Talents and Future30 party.

#TALENT30 AWARDS

To celebrate The Mount Junior School’s 30th Anniversary we have launched our #TALENT30 awards, offering 100% fee remission on fees in The Mount Junior School. Our Creative Curriculum encourages young girls’ inquisitive minds. The bespoke programme encourages creative thinking, exploring, discovering, and creating with your mind. Alongside a balanced combination of specialist teaching and creative thinking, girls are equipped with the 21st century skills.

Tell us your Talents
Girls starting Key Stage 2 are invited ‘Tell us your Talents’ to receive the #TALENT30 awards. What do you enjoy? What are your passions? What is your favourite lesson? What are your hobbies? We want to learn about you! The successful applicants will receive a 100% fee remission on fees for their time in the Key Stage 2*. (Bursaries can be applied for entry into Senior School/Key Stage 3)  

Application
Applicants must submit an application form along with a ‘Tell us your Talents’ personal statement, demonstrating their talents, skills and creativity. Pupils can submit their personal statement in any creative way – a short video, a piece of creative writing, a drawing or even an interpretive dance!

Terms & Conditions
– The Mount School York will provide awards to girls starting Key Stage 2 (Year 3).
– The awards are provided at the discretion of the Principal.
– The awards will have 100% fee discount for their time in the Junior School.
– The awards cover the School Fees only. Registration and Acceptance Fees will be required. Additional costs for trips and paid activities will be required.

Eligibility:
Girls who are not already studying at The Mount School York. starting Key Stage 2 in September 2022 (Age 7/8).

Application:
To apply families must submit an application form with a supporting ‘Tell us your Talents’ statement explaining their talents and passions. This can be in any format, it could be piece of creative writing, a video, a drawing or even an interpretative dance!
Late applications are being considered. The closing date for applications was Friday 29 April, however late applications will be considered as the discretion of the Principal.
Girls who apply and their families will be invited to visit the meet with Rachel Capper, Head of the Junior School. Taster Days are available should the family wish.  

Decisions: Awards are given at the discretion of the Principal. Recipients of the awards will be notified on or before w/c 9 May.
