Congratulations to Mount Old Scholar Amelia, who has been offered a place at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Widely regarded as the “Oxbridge” of drama training establishments, winning a place at RADA represents a very significant achievement for any young actor!
During a gap year Amelia auditioned for a place at the much sought after academy alongside hundreds of thespians. Amelia found out this week she has successfully won her place and she will embark on a one-year foundation course at RADA from September.
Whilst at The Mount, Amelia regularly took part in School productions, music concerts and drama activities. She has also performed in many shows and concerts in York. This year she took to the stage in the York Light Youth’s production of “Barnum”, the musical by Mark Bramble, Michael Stewart and Cy Coleman.
Congratulations Amelia, everyone at The Mount is delighted and very proud of your hard work and determination.
