Sofia Smashes Cross Country Competition Beating Nearly 90 to Take First Place!
Sofia gave the performance of a lifetime at the York Schools’ Cross Country Championships coming first ‘by a country mile’.
Sofia, Year 7, who sprinted past 86 runners, now goes through to the North Yorkshire Schools’ race in the new year for which we offer her huge congratulations from the whole school community.
Other next round qualifiers include Jess & Freya, also Year 7, Rosie in Year 10 who came in the top 5, & Seren and Lucy, Year 11, who both ranked in the top 20!

We are certainly a school to be reckoned with when it come to running and have seen many recent successes across netball, swimming, football and hockey, with some pupils enjoying success outside school across rugby, gymnastics and horse racing amongst others!
