County Level Cross Country Calls!
The Mount is becoming known as a Cross Country Centre of Excellence with consistently good results in local competitions leading to invitations at county level!
Rosie, Sofia & Jess produced brilliant performances, representing York at the North Yorkshire Championships schools’ event.
Sofia smashed it again, coming an amazing 12th. As a result, she will now represent North Yorkshire in the next round in early February, against North East Counties.
Sofia said: “It was so exciting and tiring. I just kept on going.”
Jess said, “It was such a good experience.”
Principal David Griffiths said: “This is fantastic! We only ever ask that our pupils try their best. It’s an added bonus when their best also translates into great results. The whole school community is very proud.”
