Yes, The Mount welcomes girls from around the world and has a wealth of experience helping them through the Visa process and settling into life in the UK. Approximately 75% of boarders are international. Girls are welcomed from around the world including Germany, Spain, China, Hong Kong, Mexico and Iran.
Younger Girls will usually share a room with up to 3 girls. Older girls usually are in rooms of 2. Some rooms have beds available for flexi boarders and day girls who will occasionally board.
The Boarding House staff are always on hand and older pupils act as mentors. Our Quaker ethos is based on value and respect. It means every individual is heard and pastoral care is of great importance. Boarding and school staff will work together to ensure your daughter is happy, secure and free to enjoy their boarding experience.
At The Mount we do not have exert weekends, instead, we have relaxed weekends. Activities and trips are relaxed and pupils are able to go and visit family and friends should they wish to.
Boarders eat together in the school dining room. Breakfast, lunch and supper are prepared on-site by professional caterers – Wilson Vale. A varied menu is on offer catering to different diets and allergies. The boarding house has a kitchen that pupils can use for preparing snacks and baking.
