Senior School Production Shines Across Two Nights
This year’s Senior School Production was Daisy Pulls it Off , a loving, fast-paced parody of 1920s girls’ boarding school adventure stories.
The hard-working cast and crew have been partaking in rehearsals since September, resulting in a polished and entertaining performance.
The cast were charismatic and captivating. Most impressive was the amount of lines many had to remember, a testament to their consistent dedication.
Each girl’s interpretation of their character brought something different to the performance – whether that be protagonist Daisy’s infectious optimism or antagonist Sybil’s comedic villainy.
There were many behind the scenes who worked tirelessly to ensure a seamless production. Thank you to the sound and lighting team, as well those involved with props and stage design.
The Mount is grateful for Mr Dawson and Ms Attridge, who gave up much of their time to help with the production.
Finally, thank you to our Head of Drama, Mrs Priestley – a creative tour de force who directed and choreographed this production. Here’s what she had say:
“I could not be prouder of the students who took part in Daisy Pulls It Off. Their teamwork was remarkable, and the collaboration and sheer joy that radiated from the stage was infectious. From their polished choreography and brilliantly executed cheerleading routine to their perfectly timed comedy and confident handling of a demanding, text-heavy script, they rose to every challenge… And the talent extended far beyond the spotlight – from our dazzling tech team and dedicated stage management to the meticulous script prompt and even those who quite literally added the sparkle behind the scenes… It was a true celebration of collective creativity.”
