Shortlisted for Independent School for Student Careers! Congratulations to All

We are delighted to have been shortlisted today for Independent School for Student Careers (Independent Schools of the Year Awards, 2025).
The Mount was shortlisted for its wonderful Enterprise Week in Junior School including a Dragons’ Den panel, amazing visiting speakers such as the Director of Branding for Nestle, and charity Enterprise Fair.
In Senior School, our excellent Careers’ Week saw visiting speakers including a women’s health specialist, an engineer, a financier and a land manager. Judges noted that pupils receive bespoke careers advice throughout the year.
Head, Anna Wilby, said: “We’re delighted to be recognised for our careers provision across the whole school which we continue to develop. This September’s Ignite reward programme for example will reward our Sixth Form College girls’ volunteering, leadership and other life skills and help them stand out in applications. Congratulations to all staff and pupils.”
Dr Helen Wright, chair of the judging panel, said: “The standard and number of entries has never been higher, so well done on the success of your school, and congratulations on the great work that you do! It has been truly wonderful to receive so many nominations which clearly celebrate ‘excellence in education’ and showcase the myriad of activities in which our students have the opportunity to excel.”
Hundreds of schools from across the country submitted entries across 25 categories.
Finalists will be announced on Tuesday 9 September and the winners, chosen by an independent panel of expert judges, will be revealed at an awards ceremony in October.
