Five Mount Girls Selected for Dance World Cup Finals in 2026

We are incredibly proud to announce that five elite dancers from The Mount have qualified for the 2026 Dance World Cup Finals, where they will represent England in Dublin next July.

This marks the fourth time Mount pupils have been selected for Team England, and we are especially delighted that this year sees the largest number of Mount dancers qualifying to date.

A huge congratulations to Freya (Y9) and Elif (Y8) on their first time qualifying for England. Hope (Y8) and Connie (Y7) return to the national squad, having represented England in Prague 2024 and in Braga 2025 respectively. Holly (Y11) will attend the event for an incredible third consecutive year, as she prepares to move on to a full-time vocational performing arts school after focusing on her GCSEs.

The Mount has an established track record of supporting pre-vocational dancers to achieve academically, while balancing demanding training schedules at their qualifying dance schools on evenings and Saturdays. This success comes at an especially exciting time, with the imminent opening of our brand-new, purpose-built dance studio early in the new year.

With our on-site RAD dance school, exceptional performing arts facilities, core dance curriculum and generous dance scholarships, The Mount is rapidly becoming the school of choice regionally for aspiring dancers.

The girls now begin an intensive six-month training programme in preparation for the Dance World Cup, and we wish them the very best of luck as they prepare to compete on the world stage.
