Join us at Upcoming Early Years and Reception Information Session

The New Year welcomes new beginnings and exciting times ahead, including the highly anticipated transition from Early Years to Junior School for many children.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable adjustment to school, The Mount is inviting current and prospective parents of early years pupils to attend an informal information session detailing the Junior School and what wonderful opportunities lay ahead for their child here, including our unique Explore, Discover, Create curriculum.

The ‘Creative Curriculum’, known as ‘Explore, Discover, Create’ covers the traditional subjects of History, Geography, Science, Art, Design Technology and Music, but taught in a thematic and immersive way.

You will be introduced to our experienced Early Years Team and Head of Junior School who work collaboratively to ensure that all children feel secure and valued as they settle into School. Across the Junior School, a vertical learning approach is championed, meaning children are provided with opportunities to work with pupils across the year groups, as well as benefiting from their own individual learning journey.

Through a variety of activities and teamwork we provide opportunities for children of different ages to learn and socialise together. This mixed-age approach strengthens the strong caring ethos at the School’s heart, boosting warm, positive and supportive relationships within the School community.

Children flourish in an inspiring and happy environment where having fun and learning go hand in hand. As a parent, you can be assured that your child’s individuality is embraced and development at a pace that suits them is encouraged.

We are extremely proud of The Mount Pre-School and Early Years provision and look forward to welcoming you to our School.
