College I Leadership Team Attend Quaker Education Leadership Conference

Members of the College I Leadership Team attended the Quaker Education Leadership Conference on Saturday, with over 100 other pupils from schools across the North.

The audience was divided into groups of six to work together throughout the day. They heard from guest speakers, Natasha Devon, Ben Rich, Ruth Ibegbuna, Alagi Bojang, Phoebe Hanson and Sam Freedman. During breaks, each group worked together producing ideas for a manifesto for the future of Education with Quakers from other schools.

All the talks were really interesting to listen to,” said Chloé.

It was a good opportunity to learn about issues we don’t normally hear about,” said Josephine.

The women speakers had the biggest impact with the girls. “Natasha Devon spoke about body image and mental health. Ruth Ibegbuna had achieved so many significant for her region. She was really good,” said Lucky.
